DISTANCE RUNNERPINNACLE GRADUATEWorld Mountain Running Champion in 2005, Kate converted to the track to run 3000m steeplechase at the Beijing Olympics 2008. In the final lead-up to qualifying, she developed a serious leg injury and did not recover in time for the Games. Although gutted, Kate seems destined to star at a future Olympics. Aged 27, Kate lives in Wellington where she obtained a Commerce degree. She has considerable experience in the real estate industry. Kate was NZ Sportswoman of the Year in 2005. She represented NZ at the Commonwealth Games 2006, placing fifth in her first major competition and seetting a new NZ record. Kate graduated from Pinnacle in mid 2008. www.katemcilroy.com  |
