ROWING

PINNACLE GRADUATE

Current 2009 Men's Lightweight Double Sculls World Champion, 2007 Maori Sportsman and Supreme Sportsperson of the Year, Storm rowed for NZ at the Beijing Olympics 2008.

With Peter Taylor in the lightweight double sculls, he narrowly missed qualifying for the final, placing fourth in the heat. The crew went on to win the B final, effectively seventh at the Games.

Greater glories seem assured for the Invercargill-born 23-year-old who already has a string of successes including two world age-group titles. He is now looking toward London 2010, as well as aiming to attend Harvard or Oxford Business School to study towards an MBA.

Storm has already graduated Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and also Bachelor of Business Studies in Finance.

Nowadays he is based with the national rowing squad at Cambridge. His younger brother Jade is also a champion rower coming up through the ranks.

Storm packs a lot into his life. His interests include diving, snorkelling, spear fishing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, knee boarding, boating, surfing, snowboarding, basketball, listening to music, chess, table tennis, water polo, rowing, cycling, reading.
